2024


On July 14th at 2:00 pm, the KeyWinds Trio will be joined by their musical friends in the Duncan 39 Days of July premiere of Yvonne's completely original children's show called "A Day at the Farm".  This is an exciting and captivating show for children aged four to fifteen but will be enjoyed by all those who are young at heart!  The descriptive music has been written to enhance exciting stories and poetry by complementing the action and moods.  The show includes two very popular original stories, Henrietta, the Cow and Clyde, the Horse.  This is a performance by the KeyWinds Trio, plus friends, that really should not be missed!


On July 21st at 2:00 pm, the KeyWinds Trio revisits the Charles Hoey stage in Duncan as guests of the 39 Days of July!  They will be again joined by two of their musical friends, Norma Pannell on flute, and Peter Gillespie on percussion to perform an arrangement of Modest Mussorgsky's Pictures at an Exhibition, and the Peer Gynt Suite #1, Op. 23 by Edvard Grieg.  The latter includes the very popular In the Hall of the Mountain King.  Put this date on your calendar; you won't be disappointed!


The KeyWinds Trio performed an amazing concert at the Duncan Showroom  on January 13, 2024 and played for an incredibly appreciative crowd!  The repertoire included Beethoven's Clarinet Trio, Op. 11 arranged for the KeyWinds Trio by Yvonne.  The also performed arrangements of Bruch's Kol Nidrei, Op. 47 and Schumann's Drei Romanzen, Op. 94.  The show ended with the very challenging but musically rewarding Serenade by Robert Kahn.  The entire show was recorded on video and excerpts are available to listen to by visiting our Listen to Us page of this website.


2023


The KeyWinds Trio is looking forward to performing on Wednesday, July 12th at 2:00 pm in the Anglican "All Saints by-the-sea" church as guests of the Tea a Tempo concert series.  The Trio will be performing music by both classical and romantic composers.


On July 23rd at 2:00 pm the Trio performed a "Mozart Madness" concert at the 39 Days of July Festival in Duncan on the Hoey Stage on Station Street.  The highlight of the concert was a performance of Yvonne's arrangement of Mozart's Eine Kleine Natchmusik!  This arrangement was such a hit that we were asked to perform an encore!


The KeyWinds Trio was joined by the amazing Canadian Soprano, Kelly Coubrough for a concert in Chemainus, BC at the historic St. Michael's Church on January 15, 2023.  The concert was SOLD OUT and KeyWinds was thrilled to be able to perform to a full house.  Through the ages, composers and musicians have been motivated to create music that illuminates how love, in its many forms, affects the human heart and actions.  Celebrating the many facets of love, this program was made up of vocal and chamber works written by composers from the Romantic Era including Schubert, Berlioz, Donizetti, Rossini, and Voigt.















2022


On July 10th at 2:00 pm, the KeyWinds Trio performed in Duncan, BC at the 39 Days of July Festival.   They performed repertoire by lesser known composers including Heinrich von Herzogenberg's lovely trio for Piano, French Horn, and Clarinet.














The Moss Street Market hosted the KeyWinds Trio from 10:00 am until Noon on July 16th, 2022.


The KeyWinds Trio performed as guests of the Chemainus Concert Society on June 12th, 2022 in the historic St. Michael's Church in Chemainus, B.C.  The concert presented different composer's music from the Romantic era, comparing and contrasting their approaches to composition and to the instruments for which they were writing.  The program included trios by Heinrich Herzogenberg, Max Bruch, and Carl Reinecke.  This was a concert not to be missed!















2021


KeyWinds Trio was privileged to perform for Patients, Doctors, Nurses and Support Staff at the Cowichan District Hospital on July 30 at 2:00 pm.  It was a wonderful way to thank front line workers for all of their support during the COVID pandemic.


The Moss Street market invited the KeyWinds Trio to perform on Saturday, July 31 and it was wonderful to have so many people stop and listen!


The Trio performed on August 1st, 2021 at 2:00 pm on the Charles Hoey stage on Station Street, Duncan, BC and this concert was presented by the 39 Days of July Festival.  This was an amazing performance and we were thrilled to play for such an appreciative crowd!

          











On August 15th, 2021 at 2:30 and 4:00 pm the Trio performed on stage at the Waterwheel Park, 3828 Croft Street, Chemainus, BC.  Many thanks to the Chemainus Valley Cultural Arts Society for hosting us.


Musicians from the KeyWinds Trio are also members of the The KeyWinds Quintet and they were thrilled to perform in two concerts presented by the Cowichan Symphony Society.  The shows were at the beautiful Cherry Point Vineyards at 2:30 pm and 5:00 pm on Sunday, August 22nd.
